    Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a method of skin revitalization that helps hydrate and regenerate the skin, painlessly and without complications. It also has an effect on a whole range of facial and body skin problems.
Mesotherapy is a therapeutic method in which small amounts of active substances are applied to the appropriate layer of the skin, depending on the indication and the effect we want to achieve. This includes non-invasive transdermal injection of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, hyaluronic acid and natural plant extracts into the skin, to stimulate the biosynthetic ability of fibroblasts and facilitate interaction between cells. It is intended to increase the production of collagen and elastin.

    How does mesotherapy work?
With mesotherapy, we ensure the intake and resorption of a sufficient amount of substances needed to restore a youthful appearance to your skin. So, everything you try to get into the skin by applying various products, you will succeed with this method faster and better. The effect will be almost instantaneous.

    Anti-aging
Prevention of aging of the skin of the face, neck, décolleté and hands. Stimulates hydration; reduces wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and has a lifting effect on the skin.

    Androgenic alopecia
Mesotherapy can successfully help prevent hair loss in both men and women. Special cocktails containing vitamins and hair growth stimulants are injected into the affected areas of the scalp.

    Cellulite removal
Special active ingredients are injected into the affected areas, which significantly improves the structure of the skin and has an active effect on reducing fat deposits.

    Stretch marks removal
Stimulates the formation of new collagen, alleviates the visibility of stretch marks.

    Pain removal
Whether it is a headache, migraine or painful conditions related to degenerative rheumatic diseases or sports injuries, it effectively removes pain.

    Varicose syndrome
The wound healing process is accelerated.

How is the procedure carried out?
The procedure involves a large number of micro stings with needles, through which the cocktail is applied under the skin. The procedure is practically painless. Another possibility is to cause the so-called. micro-trauma to skin surfaces (mild scratching). The Mesogun special application gun is also in use, which enables the regulation of the speed, quantity and depth of injection, and this particular method we use at the Polyclinic Terme department in Rijeka.

Who is the treatment intended for?
There are no age and gender restrictions. As a general rule, we do not perform mesotherapy in pregnant and breastfeeding women, people suffering from autoimmune diseases, people who have active herpes or other infectious skin diseases.

How often is the treatment repeated?
Depending on the indication. On average, 4-6 treatments are performed, the usual interval between the first two is 14 days, and each subsequent one is performed once a month. Significant improvement is visible after the first treatment. Later, if necessary, maintenance treatments can be performed 1-2 times a year. In more demanding clients, it is possible to combine the method with chemical peeling, micro-dermabrasion, medical IPL treatment tailored to the client's needs, and, according to the indication, hyaluronic fillers as well.

    Caution / contraindications / recommendations
Provided that the mesotherapy procedure is performed by an educated doctor, there are almost no complications. As with any type of injection, there is a possibility of getting small hematomas or skin irritations, which usually disappear after a few days.
