Botox facial wrinkle therapy
Botox is the most popular anti-age treatment in the world and the most effective in ‘ironing’ wrinkles in the areas around the eyes and on the forehead.
Botox is actually the commercial name for a pharmacologically purified botulinum toxin, clinically tested for therapeutic use.
A quality application of botox is when it is - invisible. The treatment relaxes the muscles and achieves a more relaxed, smoother face. It does not fill deep wrinkles, as can be done with dermal fillers. Therefore, it is used for aesthetic treatments alone or in combination with fillers.
What are the applications of the treatment?
- frown wrinkles (vertical forehead wrinkles)
- wrinkles around the eyes
- horizontal wrinkles on the forehead
Although this preparation is primarily recognized for the treatment of wrinkles, its indications are far broader and is used in:
- chronic migraines
- axillary sweating
- too wide smile showing a gingiva (gummy smile)
- gnashing (bruxism) of teeth
Before the treatment, it is mandatory to consult a dermatologist, who will recommend therapy tailored to your needs, for optimal results.
Caution / contraindications / recommendations
It must not be applied to persons with allergies to the ingredients of the preparation, nor to persons with infections in the area of application.
The most common side effects are lowering of the eyelids which is temporary, dizziness and headaches may occur that pass quickly.
